Monday, February 13, 2006 most awesome weekend of the term i had a really good weekend! no work... well i mean i had work to do but i didn't do it... i went to see body worlds at the science centre on saturday with the anthropology society... it was reaaaaaally kool! and i'm really happy i went cuz its the first time i've done anything with the anth society =) cuz every other time i wanted to do anything i alwayz had to work... it was kool! all the bodies and stuff... it was soooo crowded tho.. but thats okie! i got this lil brain pin and a skull keychain =) it was a lot of fun hanging out with people in my program =) now i know people in my program better =) too bad they didn't let you take cameras into the body worlds exhibit tho... woulda been kool to get pictures of them all!! but i did take a few pictures of some of the other science centre stuff =) it looks different... at least from what i remmeber from 2 years ago... but i wanna go to the science centre again! its so much fun! =) the car ride to and back from the science centre were fun too haha.. all the funny stories... i fell asleep on the way back to waterloo tho.. i was so tired! we met around 9 something and we were at the science centre until 4ish... after we got back into waterloo we went to this place called failte (its pronounced fil-che... its kinda weird) which is sorta like a pubby place and we had dinner... i had chicken fingers =) colin said he couldn't eat chicken after seeing the exhibit =) but everyone still had their appetites after seeing everything =) i guess cuz we're in anth? didn't affect us as much hehe... the only thing that really creeped me out was the fingernails and toenails still on some of the bodies.. those creeped me out for some reason.. bleeeh... I TOUCHED A BRAIN! it was a plastinated brain.. just felt like... hard plastic... but i still touched a brain! i also touched a liver which felt sorta waxy and kinda creeped me out too hehe... after i got home... i ended up taking a nap around 9 something until 10:30... and i got up to clean my room a bit... then around 12:30 i decided i couldn't stay up any longer.. and i went back to bed.. TOTALLY passed out =) i didn't wake up in time for church =( i slept until 11:30! i don't really remember turning off my alarms... so i spent some of the day cleaning =) i DID clean! it may not have looked like i did much but its way better than it was before =) and even tho i woke up so late i started feeling sleepy when i was upstairs watching mythbusters on tv =) and then paul came! yay! =) we watched the rest of mythbusters and talked and stuff for a while.. i had lotsa fun! even tho we didn't see the kitties... next time!! =) we went out for dindin at kelseys which was fun and we were being silly and talking about silly stuff =) and i saw karim there! but i didn't wanna go interrupt so i just waved as i was leaving =) after dinner paul wanted to go to shoppers/sobeys cuz he was gonna get a box of chocolate.. so insistent hehehe but then i said he didn't hafta get a box of chocolates... next year! =) so we went home and i was thinking we could watch miss congeniality 2 cuz pat got the fake one =) but then paul got me the wallace and gromit movie! a practical-non-mushy valentines present =) yaaaaay! =) it was a funny movie =) oh hutch =) he was my favourite character hehehe... i wanted to go see the intermediate team's hockey game at 11 but paul was too tired so we didn't end up going... but then he was not so tired enough to meet up with other people *gasp* hehehe i had a really good day =) and boogies was happy he got to see paul again.. and I'M happy! =) yaaaaay! and reading week is coming up!! yay reading week! too bad i'll have 2 midterms and an assignment due before then... *sigh* fun weekend! now let the work begin.... 0_o ( 1:05 AM ) ~ punchyfruit ~ |
