Sunday, July 03, 2005 necklaces and paint splatter ummm guess i don't really have much to say... i don't really remember much of the week.. it was a blur. i made a few necklaces... one is pretty fancy and the other one is a lot like the ones i gave to amander and kat... i really like this one. i think it's the only one i've been proud about for a while... i think this week i might start drawing again... i drew for a couple days and then that was it... i guess i need hobbies that'll hold my interest for more than a week! but i love drawing.. and i love beading... i just go thru these... phases where i GOTTA bead or i GOTTA draw... they don't last very long tho! my next project.. i wanna do some sewing. i haven't done that in AGES but i really wanna do a few things... like i wanna fix up these pants i found while i was unpacking... i wanna make them flare a lil more.. i did it once with another pair of pants... so i'm pretty sure i know how to do it =) i also wanna make a halter top.. or a tank top. i haven't really decided yet but most likely a halter top... like one made from a scarf or something.. i dunno they look really kool.. i haven't really seen that many of them actually... but like ones where you take a big scarf thingy and you like... kinda sew it kinda tie it into a halter top.. but i wanna sew mine.. and have laces on it! what i'm seeing in my head is really kool.. i dunno how to describe it... but i'm not so sure it'll turn out the way i want =) we'll see! i wanna go to value village and pick up a cheap scarf to try it out... those are the only projects i can think of for now... we'll see how they go =) i helped my mom paint our bench today.. its like a metal and wooden bench we have outside.. but it got a lil rusted cuz of the rain and stuff... so i got to sand it using a power sander thing which was pretty fun... except the noise kinda reminded me of the dentist.. the squeaking and scraping noise... *shudder* but other than that it was fun.. then i helped paint the bench black and the wooden parts were stained sorta a reddish brown... the thing is the black paint is some oil based paint so it's really hard to get off if you get it on yourself unelss you use paint thinner.. and goess who got it ALL over themselves? yeah... me. i had my pants rolled up cuz i was trying to tan =) and i got paint on my legs... which was pretty funny cuz i had paint on my hands.. and my legs were itchy so i was scratching.. so i got paint on my legs =) and on my feet cuz i wasn't wewaring shoes.. and the bottom of my feet cuz i stepped in paint... and my arms... and even a lil on my face! it was pretty yucky trying to get the stuff off.. since we didn't have any paint thinner! i ended up using nail polish remover and i sat there for a while scrubbing all the paint off me.. then i was covered in nail polish remover and that smelled yucky.. so i showered and now i'm nail polish remover-free and pretty much paint free.. i still have some speckles of paint on my arms but i don't really care now =) ugh my neck is itchy cuz i've been in the sun too long.. it wasn't even that long =( i don't relaly tan like i used to... i get itchy and gross i hate it... but i want a tan! i'm so getting a tan this summer i don't care! =) okie off to find some other projects to do! hopefully this week will be really productive and stuff! =) 0_o ( 11:15 PM ) ~ punchyfruit ~ |
