Sunday, May 29, 2005 today was my subway adventure with paul! i must say it was a fun fun very fun adventure =) my toes hurt and my legs are sorta cramped up from walking so much today! it was an awesome adventure =) i'm sorta upset i didn't have a camera *sniff sniff* no batteries =( maybe next adventure i guess! we went to lotsa lotsa places today.. cuz it was the Doors Open Toronto thing... so you could go to a lot of places to see architecture and history and stuff like that... for free! free is good =) the first place we went to was the gibson house near north york civic centre =) hehehe finding parking was an adventure =) finding the house.. wasn't so hard =) it found us! hehehe... so when we were going near the entrance... it looked sooooo empty! and i felt weird going in cuz it was guided tours and i didn't wanna have just us there! =) but it ended up being pretty much a 2 person tour but it was kool! that was a very kool house =) aaaand they had samples of yummy food! and kool rooms! with straw mattresses and stuff like that! it was very kool =) and then after that we got a day pass and took the subway to i forget where... and we went to the dominion modern museum of modern architecture & design (i think they should call it dominion museum of modern architecture & design... so much easier to say!) anywayz that was interesting =) hehehe... there was a mailbox there.. a real one i think... but i wasn't sure cuz it WAS modern art sorta stuff... hehehe i think it was a real mailbox tho =) the art was... interesting... there was one that looked like... a table with metal kettles lined up evenly on the table =) and another one looked like just a pile of plates and dishes and cups! so i was wondering.. if you accidentally knocked over some of the dishes.. would that be adding to the art? =) they had some kool mini models of buildings tho.. with very tiny people! i thought that was the koolest part of that museum =) after that... we were going to the ceramic museum i think.. but we passed by the police museum and there was a police troll! i wish i had my camera then! that was a pretty kool museum! i liked it =) it was like the best museum we went to on our adventure =) they had a police cruiser or half of one and you could sit in it and flash the lights and stuff it was kooool =) i wanted a picture with the police troll =( and then while we were still on our way to the ceramic museum we passed by ocad and since they were open too we went to take a look.. that was interesting... they had some funny ad thingies =) and a kool... ummm i dunno what its called... kinda like a sitting place outside with these kool poles that looked like pencil crayons or something.. it was kool =) so we finally get to the ceramic museum and this was supposed to the one of the kooler parts of our adventure.. but i was disappointed =) it wasn't the actual museum.. that was closed for renovations... it was just the store booooo... but they had cookies and juice and goldfish! hehehe so we had some cuz we were hungeeee! then we were gonna walk to union station.. and on our way there we passed by the campbell house so we decided to go there since we were right there =) it was sorta like the gibson house but not as kool.. not as many things to look at and it was sooooo crowded! like really really crowded! totally opposite of the gibson house =) when we go to union station i had to sit... my feet really hurt by then.. my shoes were supposed to be comfy! they made my feet hurt =( we took the underground path.. SOMEBODY said he knew the way! SOMEBODY said he knew where he was going =) but SOMEBODY won't admit we were lost =) all part of the adventure! =) on our way back to the north york centre we were gonna get off at every stop.. hehehe since we had a day pass.. but by then we were too tired... hehe and then while we were still on the subway... paul realized that we coulda parked at fairview instead of paying 9 bucks to park at north york centre =) oopsies my bad =) hahaha and then later i realized we coulda taken my mom's pass thing for the hosptial and parked there and gone to the leslie station hehehe.. at least i know for next year! =) hehehe... and we have maps of all the places open =) hehehe one of our maps is all scrunched up... hehehe paul was trying to look at it (we musta looked really touristy hehehe oh well!) and it was windy and wasn't cooperating... so he ended up scrunching it into a handsized map.. since that was all we needed to look at =) hehehe... it looked funny =) after that adventure we went on another one! to ikea! where i got a new bookshelf! very very nice =) i like very much so! i'll find pictures on the ikea site later.. tired.. gotta sleep! but it looks very nice.. and it's all put up now and everything! but it was a lot of work. so many lil pieces! so many confusing instructions! but paul helped me build it along with pat and sorta my mom too hehehe... its awesome! and so is paul! for helping me lug it home cuz he has a VAN! yay vans =) and for helping me build it =) it took a while to build.. he didn't end up leaving til like 1 in the morning? oopsies my bad! today was really really fun =) it was one of the best adventures i've been on =) from getting lost in the underground to looking off a scrunched up map.. to banging together a shelf late late at nite and looking at stacked dishes that was considered art =) we need to go on more adventures! hahaha maybe we'll go on more this summer =) the adventures of paul and tiffy! tehee =) okie sleepy time its late late very late and i gotta wake up early tomorrow aiy! if i remember more funny tidbits i will post post post away! aiy i'm tired... 0_o ( 2:11 AM ) ~ punchyfruit ~ |
